When you place an order over £100 with us, you can send us your old PVC strip curtains and receive a £25 gift card* as a thank-you. Simply ensure that the PVC strips are sent to our warehouse and we’ll take care of the rest. This initiative allows us to sort, clean, and reuse the PVC, ensuring it is recycled properly and efficiently. Where can I use this gift card?

The Gift Cards are accepted at over 50 different high-street brands and attractions, such as Marks & Spencer, Currys PC World, Argos, New Look, River Island, Halfords, Boots, Matalan, TK Maxx and Go Outdoors. These vouchers will be sent straight to you and can be exchanged for e-gift cards for a variety of different stores.

What is the process of recycling with Clearway?

At Clearway, we’re excited to launch our PVC recycling program, and we can’t do it without your support! As a valued customer, your participation is key to making this initiative a success. We invite you to partner with us by sending in your old PVC strip curtains, and we’ll handle the rest with care and efficiency. Together, we can make a positive impact! Below is the full process of how our PVC recycling program works:

1. You will need to cut off any plates or other hardware before sending the PVC. Please ensure that you only send us flexible PVC.

2. You will then need to clean and neatly fold or roll the PVC and package it, ready to be sent to our warehouse.

3. You will need to arrange and cover the transportation costs to deliver your PVC strip curtains to our warehouse.

4. The PVC arrives at our facility where we then sort it and store it until we are ready to recycle it.

5. We will then begin the recycling process by processing the flexible PVC so that it is ready for recycling.

6. During this processing phase, we break down the PVC so that it can be added to the manufacturing process.

7. The recycled PVC is made back into compound and is mixed with the new compound mixture in order to create new PVC.

8. This is then used to produce brand new, high quality PVC strips with a much lower carbon footprint.

Our PVC Recycling Process

At Clearway, we recycle waste PVC by reintegrating it directly into our production process. We take used PVC strips, grind them into a compound, and reintroduce this material back into the manufacturing process, allowing us to recycle 100% of the PVC received at our warehouse. By encouraging customers to return their old Clearway PVC, we ensure that it is recycled properly and efficiently, contributing to a more sustainable cycle.

Do I need to clean the items before I send them back for recycling?

To recycle your old PVC strip curtains, please ensure they are free from dirt, oil, grease, and any other contaminants. This preparation is essential for proper recycling, allowing the PVC to be processed into high-quality products without foreign substances compromising its quality.

Are there any costs involved in the program?

The only cost you’ll need to cover is the shipping to send your PVC strips back to us for recycling. You can use a courier service like DHL for this purpose. Once we receive your strips, we’ll handle all sorting, processing, and recycling costs. This is why we view the Clearway Recycling Program as a partnership – we rely on your support to make it a success.

How do I send my Clearway PVC to get recycled?

The shipping method will depend on the amount of PVC you’d like to return. For smaller packages weighing less than 70kg, we recommend using a reputable courier service like DHL. If you need assistance with this step, please feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.

Can I recycle any other plastic items that aren’t flexible PVC?

Currently, we’re only equipped to recycle flexible PVC and cannot process other types of PVC or plastic materials.

Can I recycle ANY flexible PVC with Clearway?

We only recycle flexible PVC sourced from Clearway Online and cannot accept PVC or plastic strip curtains from other manufacturers. This policy is in place because some manufacturers use harmful chemicals, such as certain phthalates, in their production processes. At Clearway, our PVC is entirely phthalate-free and free from hazardous chemicals, ensuring it is fully recyclable. To protect the integrity of our recycling process, we only accept our own PVC to prevent any harmful substances from entering our production cycle when recycling old PVC strip curtains into new ones.

Is there a maximum weight for the amount of waste I can return?
